When I’m doing psychological counselling with clients, I keep concepts and principles from the following resources in mind. 

Mindfulness and Relaxation

To best achieve your goals during psychological counselling, it is recommended to do some form of mindfulness or relaxation practice twice daily. Research has shown the regular practice of mindfulness improves mood and reduces anxiety. Along with a background on mindful practices, these websites provide examples of recordings you can use at home.

The new BREATHR app is available now! I use this app myself, an excellent free app with several mindfulness exercises and guided meditations.

Brene Brown ted-talk  – One of the top five most viewed TED talks. Dare to live greatly, Brown says. “Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”
